This author also refers to the Cosmic Source as Who/?What?/It! in a "pronounish" sense. The Cosmic Source has superhuman characteristics and attributes. It is in order to state that nonhuman animals have subhuman or lower than human characteristics, without a soul. While humans cannot be used as a standard to describe the Cosmic Source, there is merit in beginning with the human, a familiar entity, in seeking to achieve a deeper understanding of the Cosmic Source.

Even though nobody can define the Cosmic Source humans can possess a better understanding than they have of the Who?/What?/It! A better understanding of the Creator/Sustainer emerges when we use the term Cosmic Source. Although sometimes I continue to say God, in recent years I have increasingly used the name Cosmic Source. The latter term contains information that increases a person's knowledge and produces insights and enlightenment for the speaker and the listener.

Cosmic is derived from the noun cosmos. In addition, when it prefixes Source it includes nothingness that existed before the cosmos and continues to exists. What is the relationship of the Cosmic Source to the cosmos? The cosmos is the extraterrestrial vastness, or the Universe, in contrast to the earth. The Cosmic Source includes the extraterrestrial vastness, the earth, the Creator/Sustainer and nothingness.

Just as there is only one Cosmic Source - First Cause - without the possibility of a second cause - there is only one cosmos. The nature of the relationship of the Cosmic Source to the cosmos renders void the "Big Bang Theory" concerning the origin of the earth or the cosmos. Moreover, that theory fails to account for the Who?/What?/It! - Activator of the Big Bang.

The created cannot be equal to or synonymous with the Creator. The Creator is greater than the created. It is not the Creator that bows to the created, but the created that bows to the Creator.

The Cosmic Source and the cosmos are intimately related. The Cosmic Source is the whole; the cosmos is a part of the whole. Here, the Gestalt psychology principle is applicable. It holds that, "The whole is greater than the sum total of its parts." (All the parts of an automobile do not equal to an automobile). We can add, the Creator is greater than the created.

The question may be asked, Is the Cosmic Source complete without or apart from the cosmos? The answer: The Cosmic Source existed before the cosmos came into existence. Furthermore, the Cosmic Source remains the same forever.

The Cosmic Source is Spirit, hence spiritual, rather than physical. Spirit is invisible and intangible. To reiterate, this gives credence to the view that it is inappropriate and incorrect to ascribe or assign a gender or genders to the Cosmic Source. The Cosmic Source is neither anthropomorphic or an androgynous being.

As stated earlier, while I continue to use the term God occasionally as I did in my book, "God With Us," for communication purposes, i.e., to help me to better deliver my message to some people, I seldom use the term in my private thinking or when I am communicating with myself or the Great Spirit. The Great Spirit is a term I first became aware of and used during the four years when I lived near the Navajo Reservation and during my visits with Hopis on the Hopi Reservation that is surrounded by the Navajo Reservation. To repeat, today I use Cosmic Source because it best indicates the nature of the "All and in All" - "Beingness and Nothingness."

The Cosmic Source is manifested by and through cosmic force. This includes human actions - imagination, creativeness, communion and the expansion of consciousness. Although the Cosmic Source through the cosmic force produces change, the Who/?What?/It! existing in timelessness and spacelessness does not change.

This is a crucial time for the human race. Everything that can be shaken is being shaken or threatened to be shaken. Extinction of the human race, more than ever before, seems to be a real possibility. Today, there is human survival without meaning, widespread alienation and destructiveness. People's knowledge and understanding of the Cosmic Source are stagnant while leaps have and and are being made in the acquisition of knowledge and understanding in science and technology which serve to increase destructiveness in the absence of comparable spiritual awareness.

Just as new terms have been used and account for human advancement in science and technology, humans must use new terms to gain greater knowledge and insights into the ecological-spiritual arena that will enable them to better understand themselves, the world and the Creator/Sustainer. In that regard, using the term Cosmic Source will do more to accomplish advancement in the expansion of human consciousness than anything else.
