The Obama Healthcare Reform Bill is a monstrous (over 1,100 pages) piece of legislation that in effect attempts to eventually take over the private healthcare industry. The excuse for the creation of this massive piece of legislation is to insure the roughly 47-million people that are currently uninsured. Those numbers however include 15-20-million illegal aliens and 10-million young people that can afford to buy insurance, if they want to, but choose not to.

From my perspective this Healthcare Reform Bill in truth is an attempt by this administration to take over 1/6^th of the economy and put healthcare under government control. Obama believes in big government entitlements and in the redistribution of wealth…everything that he's done as president so far, suggests to me that Obama wants to change the core principles of America.

The government bailouts and the take over of the banking and auto industries, is an example of this...private and essential industries are now under the control of the government, and the trillions of dollars that he’s taken out of our economy to bailout these industries will eventually be paid for by the tax payer (YOU & ME) for generations and generations to come.

Astoundingly we’re borrowing trillions of dollars from former enemies and countries that have enslaved their own people and we’re no longer in control of  our own financial destiny…our so called leaders have in effect sold America to the highest bidder.

This Healthcare Reform Bill, if passed by Congress will add another two trillion dollars to our national debt, driving us closer to bankruptcy, and if this bill is passed as authored by this administration, the likelihood is our healthcare will be similar to that of Canada or the UK and will eventually drive the private health industry out of business.

The fear is that government bureaucrats will come between you and your doctor when it comes to medical decisions not your physician and medical procedures such as hip replacements or major surgeries may be rationed or worse yet, not available to you (because of age), again government bureaucrats may decide because of your age, that you may not qualify for that triple bypass surgery or expensive drugs that may prolong your life.

Worse yet almost every government run program and entitlement currently in existence (Medicare, Social Security and the Post Office) have been mismanaged, incredibly Obama’s “cash for clunkers” program is now coming under fire, because the government hasn’t paid its dealerships as promised and these programs are nowhere near the size or scope of a government run healthcare system…God help us!

Obviously we have the best healthcare in the world, and I’ve never heard of Americans rushing to Canada or the UK to get medical treatment, however tens of thousands of Canadians and Brits come to the US every year to get emergency medical treatment in the US...because they can’t get timely medical treatment in their country…that is what we have to look forward to if ObamaCare become a reality!!

What is amazing to me, is that this administration is willing to scrap one of the best healthcare systems in the world…irregardless of the fact that the majority of Americans consider their healthcare to be good or excellent.

Obviously, we need to bring the costs of healthcare down. Tort reform is an excellent beginning; it would set standards against frivolous lawsuits against doctors and hospitals, we should also of course open up the insurance market and allow insurance companies to compete across the country, allowing us to buy insurance coverage anywhere we want, and not forced to buy it within our home state. These are simple and quick cures, and yet this administration hasn’t once attempted to confront those two issues.

Then why the radical overhaul in our healthcare system?  As I’ve stated President Obama believes in the redistribution of wealth…taking from the most productive within our society and redistributing it among those that have less…healthcare is simply another way of achieving his goal…once the government controls your healthcare, (and an additional 1/6 of the economy) they control you…simply ask any senior on Medicare.

As a former community organizer, Obama believes in community, and not the individual. His radical polices suggests to me, that he believes that power derives from the government and not in the individual.

Our founding fathers warned against an all powerful centralized government, and perhaps envisioned a day that a powerful and mismanaged federal government on the edge of bankruptcy with a blotted budget and trillions of dollars in debt, would need to eventually control its citizens against an impending revolt.
