Wow... it took some time... but A Perfect Circle finally has some competition. 30 Seconds to Mars.
30 Seconds to Mars debuted with their self-titled LP. An epic record with all the bells and whistles. Produced by Bob Ezrin (producer of Pink Floyd's THE WALL), the record explores a vast range of space rock and punk without losing the core of each song within the grandiosity.
Impressive...right? Now imagine that all of this was driven by Vocalist and Lyricist, Jared Leto. That's right, Jared Leto who starred in the some of the best independent films and edgy major motion picture films ever, including:
REQUIEM FOR A DREAM
MY SO CALLED LIFE (tv series)
PANIC ROOM
FIGHT CLUB
PREFONTAINE (okay edgy it is not... but I am a University of Oregon alum, so cut me some slack)
"Edge of the Earth" is worth the price of the album alone. Worthy space rock that is "Perfect"-ly suited to A Perfect Circle fans.
