Ethernaut is a concept album, yes, and whole lot more! It is the fourth release in the Angel Cycle, a saga that explores many of the myths (Egyptian, Babylonian, Greek) and the great stories (The Iliad, The Odyssey) of this planet we call Earth.

On Ethernaut The Cruxshadows continue to show a sensual gothic undercarriage while continuing to add layers of their ever broadening EBM sensibility. The hot track is "Winter Born (This Sacrifice)"that was released earlier this year in versions on their EP Frozen Embers. "Winterborn (This Sacrifice)" is a statement by legendary Greek warrior Hector who offers up his life to Priam, in the defense of his son Paris's, love for the beautiful Helen. All selected from the classic epic "The Iliad". The most surprising track is perhaps "East", a track that shows off a relatively new trip hop sound of the band. With the chorus "Live, Love, Be, Believe" lyricist/composer Rogue is able to show his love for Eastern philosophy, particularly his love for favorite philosopher Kahlil Gibran.

Top tracks include EBM driven "Flame", "Love and Hatred", "Untrue ", and "Winterborn (This Sacrifice)", and "Citadel"; the Celtic/Egyptian driven "After All"; and the trip-hoplike "East". Hidden track 17 (a prime number that plays heavily into the mathematical and mystical elements of the album) holds another piano melody driven gem, "Helen".

Ethernaut is masterfully performed, exhibiting both great dance music and incredible intelligence .
