Music start: Market leader FORD want to introduce one of the
reasons why Falcon is outselling Commodore by
almost 3 to 1 - E.F.I 4.1 litre SIX!!

From your driver's seat, you will notice the
acceleration and smooth cruising characteristics
you have formerly associated with V8's. Acceleration
tests conducted by FORD show that up to 100kph, a
Falcon EFI 6 actually outperformed a similar Falcon,
with a 4.9 litre V8. An excellent result considering

Acknowledging your need for V8 power and reliability
with 6 cylinder economy, FORD responded with the
4.1 litre EFI Six!! With its inherent high torque

the EFI 6 has to offer.

By packaging together Ford's Alloy Head 4.1 litre
engine and the Bosch LE jetronic fuel injection
system, FORD engineers have produced a winning
design, with proven reliability for you.

For years many of Europe's luxury class vehicles
have used the Bosch fuel injection system - the
same type used on the the EFI 6 you are driving now.

Motoring history shows that the first fuel
injection was used in 1910, by Adams-Farwell in the
United States and Robert Bosch was involved in
automotive electrical development as far back as
1897.

Now, with better automotive technology at hand, FORD
have spent $6 million, 2 1/2 years and a half
million test kilometres on reserch and development
of the EFI 6 option for the Australian market. This
included reliability trials under icy West German
conditions, hot dusty roads in Outback Australia,
as well as punishing city and highway driving.

You will soon realise the genius of the FORD
engineers, when considering the features and

Brain of the EFI system, the ECU, is electronic
excellence in itself. On computing information
supplied by various engine sensors, the ECU
determines the correct amount of fuel for the
engine in accordance with the driving conditions
you are encountering.

The high compression 4.1 Alloy Head Six features
High Swirl Lean Burn combustion chambers, which
enables the fuel to be burnt completely and
efficiently.
