Hi folks,

Today marks the ingress of the Sun into Leo,
where it is this sign's ruler, as well as being
ruler over all things golden !~!

So, it probably should not be a surprise that
we have seen a sharp rally in physical gold, today.

Those at last week's breakfast for Perth traders
will remember my comments, about the trading
opportunities in gold, especially in the event of
any added tension in the US/North Korean situation.

Sometimes markets turn ahead of the news, with
last night's sharp spike in gold, it may be the
precursor of things to come ... insiders getting in
before the news hits the street?

..... could be a timely exercise for traders to
examine some of those gold stocks, again.

So how long will this rally last?

Nobody knows for sure, but let's look at some
facts here .....

Short-term, the Sun will remain in Leo until
about 22082003 .... so gold should remain
buoyant for the next month, with a possible
high around 08-11-82003.

Longer term, Gann and his bible, tells us to
watch the 1-10-100-1000 year cycles.

If his theories holds any water, we could well
be at the beginning of another gold cycle.

Ten years ago, in 1993, we saw the start of a gold
rally that peaked 3 years later, in 1996 at US$418.00/oz.

If the coming week sees more tension on the
Korean peninsula, then we could expect some
solid support for gold, across the globe in the
short term.

29072003 ..... this could be a key date in diffusing
a potentially dangerous situation with US/N.Korea
and Japan ..... Osaka involved??

Let's see what the coming weeks bring, hopefully
a peaceful resolution to a very negative situation.
