Whenever the markets reach fever-pitch
and the media are screaming about old
market news, the contrarian traders
start heading for the exits and rotate
their funds into other market sectors.

Sometimes, this becomes very obvious,
when we see the DOW fall and the Nasdaq
rise on the same night or vice versa
... at other times, it is just a gradual
and orderly move from one market sector
to another.

Right now, we may be seeing some
evidence of that in the oil sector ...

:)

Hi folks,

Whilst the junior oilers will always present us with
some good opportunities, as each new well progresses,
it seems that there may be a subtle shift in market
attitude towards the upper end of the oil sector ...
..... institutions taking profits, perhaps ...???

Given the run we have had in the oil sector over the
past 2 years, it is probably not surprising to see
some money come off the table.

One question that arises now, what other sector will
benefit from this short-term rotation of market
sectors ... if indeed, that secenario eventuates ...???

-----

Early in 2004, some thoughts about different sectors
to benefit were presented, as well as some specific
analysis on stocks, like buying FGL, in early Feb 04
and more ..... :)

Our FGL analysis proved to be spot on, regarding a
trade entry and it has steadily gained a dollar in
value, since February, this year ..... exit target
posted in that analysis for FGL, has yet to be achieved.

Given that we still have 3 months to the anniversary
of that FGL entry, there's still plenty of time
to reach the exit target.

-----

With the long-term complementary influences of Uranus
and Neptune in play, until the March equinox in 2011,
we can expect an overall healthy environment for all
oil stocks, breweries and others related to liquid
products ..... in fact, with all the hype about an
oversupply of wine, a longer term opportunity may
present itself in the wine sector soon ..... buying
unloved wine producers, at basement prices.

-----

Once Uranus establishes itself in Aries, we will
undoubtedly see some major technological advances
coming our way, with the energy sector being on
top of the list, leaving our reliance on hydrocarbons
behind ..... but, we will have to wait for 2011
for that to become obvious.

-----

..... more later.

happy trading all

Wow, that date of 2011 is very intriguing - did you know that 2012 has been predicted as 'the end of the world' by the Ancient Maya? I wonder how the two fit together? Thanks for sharing!
