This Thanksgiving holiday I am thankful for many things. At times I know I am prone to whining and complaining but when I stop to reflect I realize how blessed I really am.
1. My friends and family who love and care for me. Not everyone is fortunate to have the support and assistance I am fortunate to claim. I know there are people in my life who would stand by me, no matter what happens and lend a hand at any time.
2. I am fortunate to call myself a writer. Everyday I get to go to work, in my pajamas if I so chose. Writing is something I enjoy doing. I look forward to my job each and every day. Not everyone can say they enjoy their job as much as I do.
3. Food. What more can I say? I never have to worry about going hungry. I may not get to eat whatever I want all of the time but at least it is nutritious and filling
4. I am thankful for the gifts of my abilities. Despite getting frustrated over my inabilities, I can walk, something not everyone with Spina Bifida or other disabilities can claim. I am blessed to still be independent most of the time. I am also grateful for the technologies which help me to be independent when needed. I am thankful for medical care through out the years which has kept me independent.
5. I am thankful for the love and admiration of my animals, pets and livestock alike. Knowing they are counting on me keeps me going.
6. I am thankful for freedom and security and a president who is determined to ensure future generations enjoy the same. I am proud to call myself an American.
7. I am thankful for the opportunities available to me. Libraries, Religious freedom, healthcare, and education. Women in other countries don’t always have access to these things. Although equality is still evolving in the USA, we are one of the most progressive nations in the world when it comes to women’s rights.
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
God Bless
Michelle~
