Aunt Gert & Uncle Clyde called it quits after nine kids.
Aunt Gertrude and Uncle Clyde
Aunt Gert and Uncle Clyde have a big family…nine kids!
They called it quits after the last one because they read in a Farmer’s Almanac that one out of every ten kids born in the world is Chinese.
They didn’t have one yet and were not taking any chances, both agreeing it was “Really Stupid,” to have a child that doesn’t even speak your own language.
They live with the hillbillies way out in the country by Turtle Creek and Wilmerding and do not have much schooling ‘cept for the 3 R’s, and they don’t even realize two of them are wrong.
Their ninth child was born with jaundice and they just about went berserk.
At first they thought someone had switched babies but Aunt Gertie said she was with it the whole time it was in her belly and the midwife was the only other person in their shack.
Later when its color changed to, “American” they breathed a sigh of relief, sighting a “Close call.”
Uncle Clyde said that was the last straw and told Aunt Gert she had to stop having babies. He figured it must have been something she was eating, threw away all the food in the house, and put her on a strict No Fat diet.
An educated relative from The Big City told uncle Clyde how babies were made.
After I laughed my head off, I realized, you may have cousins living in them thar hills in the US. Most notably the ones that voted for Trump who said that he would build a wall to keep the Chinese out.
