If The Bandit can die, anybody can die. Farewell Burt!
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
If we were to believe that we would also have to conclude that the friend of my friend is my enemy. I suppose that could be true in political arena and other such venues where jealousy and insecurity run amok but not suitable for civilized society.
The matter is moot however.
As I stated, “If “ we believe the first, which we do not.
Let us have a look at it…
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
That is the most Philistine philosophy I have ever heard.
For those of you who may be historically challenged, the Philistines were idiots.
It does not add up…
One enemy, plus one enemy, does not equal one friend, no matter how you spin it around or dissect it.
One enemy, plus one enemy, equals two enemies.
No wonder we are losing whatever war we lost.
I should think we would come away scuffed and soiled if we were to approach our enemy’s enemy based solely on the presumed assumption. We may find our enemy’s enemy to be a worse enemy than our enemy? The only thing that matters in such matters is how our enemy’s enemy feels about us, and not our enemy.
Furthermore, it is not beyond the realm of probability to presume that our enemy’s enemy may have possibly gone to his enemy previously with a similar scenario stating that if his enemy was an enemy to us that would make him a friend to our enemy with both able to come at us from several sides at once leaving us with the blame for bringing it all up in the first place.
We should sit back, drink tea, and let them fight it out between them and reap the rewards like gentlemen.
What would the world be like if every second enemy turned out to be a friend, and one out of every two enemies killed the other, leaving us with no friends?
I shudder, too… What I ghastly thought. Well, the thought process anyway?
Speaking of processes, if I write a negative like, "I don't want," and then add another negative like, "I don't want no satisfaction." That means that I will be satisfied by as many groupies as I can handle in a very positive way… Right?
A humorous look at the world and life through my eyes.
