Humor but really!

Professor Penwose, Kiwi

It’s as inevitable as the glue that breaks down between your sponge and scouring pad.

Do you think advertisers actually believe we watch their commercials? They must, they spend gazillions of dollars on them. Have they no “remote” concepts? We flip, we snack, we talk, we pee, we text, we do all sorts of things to avoid commercialism. When all else fails, we watch the bloody plugs. We must watch them or we’d have no idea what they are.

If you are not careful, they can take you away, to a South Sea island perhaps, or a snow covered mountain. A long way to go for a breath mint but it serves its purpose. Beautiful places with beautiful sights. We can only imagine being there, but maybe we can enjoy SOME of the scene in our own homes…A Pepsi!

We see people doing robust things in exotic locations and long to be with them but know that our own pathetic lives will never allow such gaiety, even if we’re straight, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

There is a scenario we see often and set aside with a smirk as though our door will never be knocked upon. Yet the future is what it is and it is what the first line speaks of.
Laugh not my friends and be ready.
“HELP! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!”

Penwose Out,

I have reached that state and still hang up on the many calls giving me a "free Medi-Alert." It's not the "free" that bothers me, but the monthly charge for service. However, my mother, as she aged alone in her apartment, had to call on that service three times, for help getting up from the floor when she fell.

Maybe I'd better sign up for the service…

Bye, George
