She Wore Yellow Bloomers
Submitted for your approval…a total rewrite of a write I wrote before this one and many rewrites before that. After all that I feel as though I know the words they are going to speak before they speak them.
SHE WORE YELLOW BLOOMERS, is a humorous depiction of The US Cavalry haphazardly opposing The Indians with scenes seen never before, even while they were actually happening, if they actually did, which is possible, for this is one of those rare epics that sits on a barbwire fence between fact and fiction.
Everything could have happened?
The title is an obvious tribute to SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON, although no relation after that.
Just ahead is a scene yet to be seen…
Scene
Two (Old Coot) cowboys sit on a bench in front of saloon. Ma Hogany rides into town driving wagon. She stops across the street, starts unloading it, drops something, and bends over to pick it up.
Coot 1, “Hey, Ma, I hope you’re wearing those Yellow Bloomers for me?”
Ma, “They’re supposed to be white, but the lye soap out here turns em yellow.”
Coot 2, “I’ve noticed that myself with my long johns.”
Coot 1 to Coot 2, “Yeah, just like your teeth.”
Ma, “They wouldn’t be for you anyway.”
Coot 2, “That Ma Hogany is a hard woman!”
Coot 1, “Too bad Ma, me and Hank just struck gold!”
Ma,”Why you silver tongued devil. Of course these yellow bloomers are for you!”
The script is ready but who wants to read an epic script? Let me send you a treatment.
