President Trump has reportedly suggested dropping nuclear bombs into hurricanes to stop them from hitting the US.
According to Axios, (Whoever that is?) Trump posed the question to advisers during a briefing, saying something along the lines of: "They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they're moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can't we do that?
Several of his advisers advised they find other jobs.
My sentiments exactly! Nuke the bastard hurricanes! All the rebukers of Trump’s proposal have no idea what will happen. Let’s drop a nuke or two and find out. It never hurts to try.
Evidently they have dissuaded him from the nuke drop for he appears to be going in another direction.
He wants to build a huge floating wall near Africa to contain hurricanes.
“This is brilliant because we do not need to build below the surface because hurricanes cannot dig underground, or underwater, like other tunnel tunnelers.”
This reporter finds that idea “Interesting.”
Sadly the article seems to have gone more political than scientific.
Anything that comes out of Donald Trump's mouth seems to be fodder for the cannon of hilarity. You have just outlined two more examples. The question for his supporters is not that your report, or any report for that matter, is highly biased "liberal," or "fake" news, but why only pandering news sources can tout his pronouncements with straight faces.
