Check your pulse
I would be nothing but for humility.
It is hard to be humble but I seem to have perceived.
My biggest fear is being marooned, (Not the color, the contingency) on a deserted desert island with no dessert.
The dessert was added for laughter, did you laugh? At least giggle or something. Show you are alive. Check your pulse.
Actually I do not eat dessert. Is it not amazing what difference a single s can make? Nobody eats desert, yet I am possibly the only one who does not eat dessert.
There is not a single atom in desserts that is good for you. If you are fat they’re killing you.
My big fear of being lost on an island is without Spellchecker. I criticize it a lot, but my writing would be unreadable without it…and what good is writing if it cannot be read?
For instance, here is how I spelled perceived above initially, percievered. Is that pitiful or what?
Spellchecker got me out of that one. I tried guessing but it always came up red.
Wait a minute! I don’t want perceived? I put in the wrong right word?
I want persevered.
I checked Spellchecker, which spelled it correctly but as a second choice. I think my wrong spelling was right enough to be first choice, so I went with it without checking the others. Anyway, if you have the technology, change your copy before you throw it away.
Humility dictates that I tell you the following.
Yesterday I came across an item concerning a female politician who shouted, 'You feckless, unpatriotic cowards'
I thought she was misquoted, or mispronounced a bad word, or was misspelled, so naturally I did an article on the article.
Fortunately, before I sent it off to my millions of followers, I checked Spellchecker.
Feckless is a real word, meaning worthless, good-for-nothing, useless.
Lets dwell on that shall we. I previously mentioned, “What good is writing if nobody can read it?”
The same is true of words themselves.
I am sure she considers herself highly intelligent because she knows a word nobody else knows. Let us give her a thumbs up.
She gets a big “thumbs down,” when she uses the word, which to most people makes it sound like a faux pas.
Several publications I visit have a ‘word of the day’. Readers are supposed to ‘Learn a new word.’
Occasionally I look to see what they are. I never saw one I ever saw before? They are Feckless!
Note to the Super Smart. If you are going to spend your time learning new words that only you will know, you would be better advised to learn another language. At least you will be able to talk to someone.
Penwose Out,

Feckless spellchecker be damned! You continually try to change my creative words into common words that have nothing to do with what I'm trying to say. You don't turn shit into ShineOla, but into ship, sending my readers off into another, cleaner course!
Bye, George,
Ron
