If you currently are tracing your family trees, you may want to “Take a Break” for awhile. Especially those from England or France or other areas devastated by plagues.

It has been generally accepted that, “If your ancestors perished during a plague, scourge, pestilence, epidemic, or anything and everything of that nature, chances are good that you will too.

Note that we have used “perished” in place of “died” for sensitivity.

You may also find out that your entire bloodline was wiped out and you are here entirely by a fluke, which can be corrected by those who do those sorts of things.
We recommend you do not bring such stuff to their attention.

We suggest you forgo your ancestry and take this time to proliferate your future blood lines, and stay clear of the current epidemic so that they will not perish.

It is entirely up to you what you do.

All of my ancestors were either stoned to death or set on fire, and we do not do such things anymore, so I am presumably safe.
