My Life doesn't matter

There’s a lot of talk these days about lives mattering…Black Lives Matter, White Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, etc.

MY LIFE doesn’t matter.

I am made out of matter, but even that doesn’t matter.

I’ve been on a lifelong quest to find a little matter.
I’ve even stooped to cheap trickery to procure a morsel of matter.
I’ve applied for things I have no need for, knowing they will send me
surveys saying my opinions matter.

I’ve had needless surgeries done so the staffs of hospitals and doctors will ask for my opinions because, “They Matter.”

I’ve often dialed businesses that I know are closed just to ear their voicemails say, “Your opinions matter to us.”
Sure, it’s a machine, but it’s better than nothing.

I bumped into a beautiful girl and stated I was sorry.
She smiled and said it was, “Inconsequential.”
I didn’t even know what that word was, so when I got home I looked it up. It means, “It doesn’t matter.”

I once broke an UnMing vase at My Old Aunt Minnie’s house. I swept up the pieces and took them home and glued them back together. It looked new…almost. All excited, I took it to her. She said…
“It doesn’t matter, I was going to throw it away anyway.”

When people ask, “What’s the matter?” I say, “You’re asking the wrong person.”

I found that In the Grand Scheme of Things, My life does not matter, therefore I ask, “Does it even matter?”…
I’ve decided to forget about it and tend to other matters.

I hope your life matters.
