EXACTLY! That hit the proverbial nail head!

Medical terms are meant to be unrecognizable to the general population ON PURPOSE, so no one will know what they are talking about. Otherwise folks would walk about blabbing, “I take blah blah blah, and blah blah, for blah blah blah.”
Before you know it they would be diagnosing themselves and writing their own prescriptions.

High Fluting medical terms are the salvation of the medical profession and never spoken in public. HIPPO laws saw to that.

My “diagnosis” of metastasize was critical of it being used by uppity wannabe, supposedly educated individuals, in daily conversation to appear important, when in fact they are not.

If you want your audience to applaud what you are saying, they must first know what you are saying.
