When we look at history we must wonder what THEY were thinking?

Take for instance The 4th of July.
That’s our Independence Day! Its not some little thing that just came along. It’s the biggest day for our country! It needs to be celebrated with fanfare and relative emotional exultation.
It should be a Superb Unequaled Holiday Event!

So what were our For Flushers thinking?
You mean to tell me they lacked the foresight, forethought, and fortitude, to Declare Our Independence 4 days sooner, so it could be celebrated at the beginning of July, instead of on a floater?

Four days sooner. Is that too much to ask? Were The British too busy on that day? Could we not get an appointment? Four measly days!

And since we have a floater…why not make it a true floater so it always comes up on a weekend?

Sometimes the 4th falls on a Wednesday. Wednesdays are dead days for holidays. You work two days, take a day off, and work two more days. What kind of holiday is that? You can’t go anywhere.
You have to take a vacation to have a holiday.

We must wonder what They were thinking?
