A gentleman of the engineering persuasion read my article on taking off ones head and sent me the following…
Quick Disconnects
Quick disconnect fittings are used to provide fast and easy connection and disconnection of things.
There are two fittings, a male and a female. The male easily pops in and out of the female without foreplay or commitment. That is all we need to know.
Probably the most well known use of quick disconnects is on pneumatically and hydraulically powered tools and machinery.
If you are familiar with air hoses you undoubtedly are familiar with quick disconnects.
The gentleman suggests that sometime in the near future medical science and engineers should come up with quick disconnects for all of mankind.
Surgeons would merely have to snip and attach spinal cords, nerves, veins and arteries, and other neural stuff to one of the fittings, and the other ends to the other fitting, for long-term attaching and reattaching. A “One Way” safety device should be implemented to avoid putting heads on backwards
I asked Dr Swigmon Fwad, Kiwi, of the feasibility of such things and he says it sounds good to him as long as the cranial lobe and everything else are not damaged.
However, he suggests the neck will become extended, “Like a Long-Neck Beer Bottle!”
Hinkly Dinkly proposes, “Digging a hole to hide the connections.”
We are hoping to find other implications?
Swigmon also recommends signing contracts forbidding individuals from exchanging heads.
One thing is for sure…
The day of head removal is a lot closer than it was yesterday.
