Please forgive me for the delayed sports report. I would have came forward with this sooner but I was doing something else.
I always watch The World Series irregardless of who/whom is playing. There’s something about it that attracts me as a fan of sports.
Little things sometimes happen that go unnoticed…this one didn’t.
My intention is not to embarrass anyone, so I’m not shelling out any names. Those who saw it know whom I’m talking about.
Baseball players are always spitting. It’s a nasty anxiety habit.
This guy was sitting on the bench. He turned his head to the left and spit…ON HIS SHOULDER!
Here’s the funny part…as he wiped it off, he looked up at the guy standing beside him to see if he saw? He sighed in relief when he saw he hadn’t saw.
THE WHOLE WORLD SAW!
The camera was on him! Everybody on the planet saw! Even third world countries that have to watch the game through store windows.
Everybody saw!
He should be glad he was not chewing tobacco.
His mother, wife, or whoever washes his uniform, was presumably justifiably upset.
To be sure it did not go unnoticed, one of the announcers said,
“He just spit on his own shoulder.”
