its easier that way

My Librium Isn’t Equal

Strange things happen to me on an irregular basis which in itself is strange. I question everything, which would lead one to think, Jeopardy should be my vocation, yet when the profit is in the question, I have nothing to ask...so I ask why?

Take this morning for instance. Sunday is my extra day…I do a little extra. I hop on the scale to be sure my weight is within acceptable limits, which it always is.
Note to anyone who cares…When its not, I change the limits.
It’s much easier that way.

Sunday is also my shaving day. Nobody sees me so why should I shave daily? My life does not revolve around wasting shaving cream.
With that in mind try to picture today.

The hot water was running. I tried to splash some on my face without getting burnt, but that never happens.
I shook the lather in the can. Then, holding the can in my right hand so that I could push the button, I held my left hand to catch the lather with my fingers so that I could lather my face with just the fingers.
I found previously the difficulty of trying to use the palm.

I pushed the button. I heard the lather shoot out. I felt a puff of air between my fingers. I looked down and my fingers were lather free.
What the Hell?

The lather had somehow shot Between my fingers completely. There were gobs on my sink. That had NEVER happened before?
My first thought was, Strange things would happen today.
Must be my librium?

A lesser man would have shaved his sink but I will not go that root. If political insiders hear of such thing they will take me away to the long halls and padded walls.

Now I am getting a migraine and can’t even see the letters.
Do something else for awhile and then come back.
There, that’s better. Fortunately my migraines are brief.

I could have scooped up the lather from the sink and lathered my face, but even I am not that cheap.
I rinsed the lather from the sink and did it again the right way.
Now I am nicely shaven. But who’s gonna know?

Penwose Out,
By George
