When Lance begins singing, asking his listener to "Meet Me Downstairs", it takes about three seconds for the listener to be convinced that they should meet him downstairs. This sexy vocal request to make memories together along with the singer's raw emotional declaration of "what you do to me" is what every girl wants to hear to get in the mood for love. I also love the elegant guitar solo on this song.
"Welcome To A New Day" might just be the next great aerobics song; it has a great beat and a positive wake up message that we are not alone and we can do anything. It tells us not to let a broken heart steal our dreams. Even if the listener is not into aerobics, this song would be a great song to play in the morning while getting ready to face the day or as a positive daily affirmation.
The feel of this CD takes me back to Atlanta Rhythm Section and Lionel Richie, two greats who never get old. If the listener does not remember who those artists are, then they can just think sexy, raw emotion, beat driven, mood setting guitar licks, preparing us to feel good and fall in love.
"I love your kiss," and "I love your smile", two more pronouncements sung persuasively by Lance on "Just Wanna Be With You" and "I Wish You Were Here", complete with whispering and romantic acoustic guitar is enough to make the ladies fold. If a guy has a date planned to make dinner at home, hang out with his girl for the night, and maybe do some slow dancing, this would be the CD to play.
Every track on this CD is good and appropriate for radio, but "Make A Change" stands out above the rest; "Make A Change" has hit potential for radio as well as for a major movie soundtrack. I love this song with its great lyric and encouraging message, upbeat tempo, vocal echoes, and clever musical production. The change up during the bridge adds that extra interest that makes a good song great.
"Sitting On Top Of The World" makes me think of New York and invokes an emotional response commensurate with "New York State of Mind" that is only understood by those who have been to New York; there is no other city like it. "Sitting On Top Of The World" is different from the other tracks on the CD and stands alone.
My very favorite track on this CD is definitely, "So Into You". The groove of this song is perfect making me want to dance, fall in love or both! The lyric and melody on this track are faultlessly married together and reminds me of the Rolling Stones, "Beast Of Burden"…who didn't feel the irresistible groove of that song?
Anyone who has ever been in love, wants to be in love, enjoys positive songs and music, or likes to dance will thoroughly enjoy "What You Make It". It has been a pleasure to listen and review Lance's musical and songwriting talents and I highly recommend this CD.
The mix of acoustic guitars, drums, electric guitar, bass and sax is impressive. Randall Peterson is to be commended on his great guitar work, and Lance is to be applauded for ten well written songs. Find more at

The daughter of musicians, Ms. Bach was marketing for the band by age eleven, writing poetry at eight and songs to guitar at fourteen.
