Gary R. Varner, author of numerous books and articles on folklore and mythology will attend the 9th Annual Harvest Festival in Fair Oaks, California.

Gary R. Varner, lecturer and author of ten books and numerous articles on folklore and mythology will appear at the 9th Annual Gathering of Spirits Harvest Festival on September 22 and 23, 2007. He will have many of his books available, including his most recent titles, Creatures in the Mist; the Roots of Witchcraft; Symbolism of Gargoyles, Grotesques and Green Men, and Mysteries of Native American Myth and Religion, among others.

This is a free event (although a can of food for a food drive is suggested) with free parking and plenty of entertainemnt, education, food and vendors.

This is a two day event, September 22 and 23, 2007 from 9:30am to 9pm each day. Other authors, presenters, entertainment and vendors will make this a fun community day.

Driving directions: Fair Oaks is east of Sacramento, California. Take Hwy 50 East, exit Hazel Ave. go North on Hazel. Then right on Kruithof Way (this is a small street on the right, just after La Serena) follow signs.
