At one time, back in the early late 90's - early 2000's I joined an opportunity to become an advertising broker. It was very simple and it did not require special licenses. It really was not that expensive. This was a way to gain free publicity for your services, products, etc. This was also a way to earn extra money, but I did not use it to earn money. I used it as a learning tool. You would pay a fee of $50.00 yearly or $30 for half a year. For your paid services you would receive a 50% commission for each new person that you sponsored (the people who would buy advertising space from you). You would receive a 25% commisssion for each renewal each year. You could purchase a full page 11 x 17 for less than $90 or an 8 x 11 page for less than $50. You would recieve 250 free mailing labels with opportunity seekers names and addresses if you joined and payed your membership for a year. You would not receive any names if you payed for the half-year membership. You would receive a camera ready copy of the circular with your unique ID # that you could earn profits by selling this to others. You would receive a FREE subscription to the Tabloid where you could see your advertisment. New members would recieve a special value - three camera ready advertisements free in the tabloid. Six Major Tabloids - 30,000 Print Circulation On the circular it would say that you can "Earn Over $5,000 a year As An Advertising Broker." Camera Ready Advertising - is an ad with your message and depending on the size you could have art work enclosed in the ad. As I shared at my website I started this continuing education - training journey in 1996. I received a publication that read we will fill your mailbox with 300 money making publications for I believe $19.95 so I thought what have I got to lose? This went on from 1996 until around 2004....... You could not buy these publications on the news stand nor in stores. I do believe in 2004 I decided to box these publications up and I did throw them away.... Now why did I throw them away? It seems that no one really paid any attention to me nor what I was doing probably because I did not have a degree......
