The ability to do research on the Internet is a marketable skill. Mr. Vogt (career counselor) says that many people in the business world don't possess this skill.

This is an article - book review that I shared in 2005 while being the business coach host and writer. Mr. P. Vogt, a career counselor says that many new graduates take their computer skills for granted and don't realize, for example, that the ability to do research on the Internet is a marketable skill. They think that "everyone can do that" because their only points of reference are their fellow students. Mr. Vogt says that many people in the business world don't possess this skill. So it's critical, as a student, to play up your computer sills and to continually learn new ones. Even if you don't feel you're going into a computer-related field, you'll stand out in any workplace if you have good computer skills. It is important to be comfortable with technology. What words do you use when describing yourself? Do you speak favorably of yourself and your accomplishments? What three words best describe the way you see yourself? What are your three best qualities? What are three areas you need to improve upon? The author (Ms. Sue Morem) client list includes many Fortune 500 companies, including AAA, Aetna, Citibank, Coca-Cola, Data Honeywell, Inc., IBM, 3M, and Target Stores. She has been featured in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Glamour Magazine, Personnel News and Training Magazine.
