Parable? Storm. The Hebrews, The Captives, The Whole Nation Denounced.

Parable - WAR - Conquests? You be the judge. Is this a parable for us today? This also came from my 2002 Sunday School Book and it was the Background Scripture. 2002 - II Chronicles 36:9-21 How does Judges 1:17,18 and Job 1:6, 38:1 relate to II Chronicles 36:9-21 and II Chronicles 36:11-21? War & Conquests - Judges 1:17,18 Job 38:1 -- Storm History of The Kingdom of Judah* *Spiritually, the Kingdom of Juidah was stronger than the kingdom of Israel, and so it outlasted it by nearly a hundred and fifty years. The kingdom was over thrown by the Babylonians. 586 B.C. A Great Victory - Rebuked by a Prophet - End of His Reign "And Asa sletp with his fathers" II Chronicles 9:21 Verse 9 -- The HEBREWS, Jehoiachin, Reigns Only Three Months Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and .... ten days ... in Jerusalem ... and he did that which ... was evil in the .... sight of the LORD. Verse 10 -- THE Hebrews, Jehoiachin, Is Carried to Babylon - Ezekiel Among the Captives 597 B.C. Verse 11,12 -- The Hebrews, Zedekiah, The Last King, Made King by Nebuchadnezzar Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And he did that which was evil ... in the sight of the LORD his God, ... and humbled not ... himself before Jeremiah the prophet ... speaking ... from the mouth ... of the LORD. Verse 13 - The HEBREWS, Zedekiah, the Last King, Rebels Against Him And he also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel. Verse 14 - The Hebrews, The Captives, The Whole Nation Denounced Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and ... polluted the house of the LORD ... which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. Verse 15 - Mediums & Methods of Revelation, The Qualifications of a Prophet, He Must Be Called of God And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them "by" his messengers, rising up "betimes" and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place; "by" -- by the hand of his messengers "betimes" -- That is, continually and carefully Verse 16,17 -- Trials & Persecutions, Persecution Overruled & Avenged, Persecutors Punished But they mocked the messengers of God, ... and despised his work, ... and misused his prophets, .......... until the wrath of the LORD arose ....... against his people, ... till there was no "remedy." Verses 18.19,20,21 -- Sacred Seasons, The Sabbatical Seasons, The Sabbatical Year, Fulfillment of Them And all the vessels of the house of God, ... great and small, ... and the treasures of the house of the LORD, ... and the treasures of the king, ... and his princes, ... all these he brought to Babylon. And they burnt the house of God, ... and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, ...... and burnt all the palaces thereof ...... with fire, ..... and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. And "them" that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: "them" -- the remainder from the sword "them" -- II Kings 25:11 Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the "fugitives" that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the nultitude, did Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carry away. "fugitives" -- fallen away II Chronicles 36:21 To fulfill the Word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, ... until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: ... for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfill threescore and ten years. Verses 22,23 -- The Hebrews, The Hebrews Again in Palestine (which I do believe in Israel) The Edict of Cyrus, 536 B.C. Now in the first year of Cyrus King of Persia, that the Word of the Lord spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, ... the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus King of Persia, ... that he made a proclamtion throughout all his kingdom, and put it in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus the King of Persia, All the Kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah ...
