This scripture came from a 2002 Sunday School Lesson. Of course I do realize that this is February 2008. Lamentations 1:12-16; 3:22,23, 55-64. Could this speak a parable, reminder and or warning to us today? This lesson could apply to us as well even today. This is a good lesson for anyone to never forget and futher detail study in your spare time. The destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, and the misfortunes that followed that event. Lamentations 1:12-16; 3:22,23, 55-64 Verses 12,13,14 -- Works of God, God's Providence in Moral Discipline, Afflictions Recited Is it nothing to you, ......... all ye that "pass" by behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, where with the LORD hath afflicted me .......... in the day of his fierce anger. From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, ... he hath turned me back: ...... he hath made me desolate and faint all the day. The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: ..... they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: ..... he hath made my strength to fall, ..... the Lord ....... hath delivered me into their hands, ............ from whom I am not able to rise up. "the" -- Or, the wine press of the virgin Verse 16 -- The Outward Man, Tears For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should "relieve" my soul is far from me: "relieve" - bring back Lamentations 3:22, 23 -- GOD, Mercy and Compassion It is of the LORD's merices that we are not consumed, .... because his compassions fail not. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: .... thou saidest, Fear not. Why said Fear not? It was not I. Verse 58 -- Duties To God, For Various Mercies O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; .... thou hast redeemed my life. Verses 59,60 -- Duties To God, Objects of Prayer, Deliverance from Enemies O, LORD .... thou hast seen my wrong: ............. judge thou my cause. Thou hast seen all their veegeance ......... and ............ all their imaginations against me.
