Certain human individuals do seem to be lacking in religious interest, just as they are lacking in the higher mental and moral interests, yet mankind as a whole is university religious.
Religion has been one of the most powerful factors in human history.
It gives to a person what he can obtain from no other source a confidrence in the connection with the Superior Power or powers in the world.
Superior Power - The Almighty God has unlimited Powers. El-Roi He Sees All.
Acts 10:28-38
Verse 28 - And he said unto them, Ye "know" how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to "keep" company, or come unto one of another nation, but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
"know" - yourselves know
"keep" - join himself or come
Verse 29 - "Therefore" came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore "for" what intent ye have sent for me?
"Therefore" - wherefore also I came without gainsaying, when I was sent to
"for" - with what
Verse 30 - And Cornelius said, Four days ago "I" was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright "clothing."
"I" - until this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and behold
"clothing" - apparel
Verse 31 - And "said" Cornelius, "thy" prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
"said" - saith
"thy" - Acts 10:4 and Daniel 10:12
Acts 10:4 - And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
Daniel 10:12 - Then said he unto me, .... Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, ... and to chasten; ... thyself before thy God, ... thy words were heard, ... and I am come for thy words.
Verse 32 - Send therefore to Joppa, and call "hither" Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: "who," when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
"hither" - unto thee Simon, who is surnamed Peter: he lodgeth in
"who" - who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee
Verse 33 - "Immediately" therefore I sent to thee; thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present "before" God, to hear all things that "are" commanded thee of "God."
"Immediately" - Forthwith therefore
"are" - we are all
"before" - in the sight of God
"are" - have been commanded
"God" - the Lord
Verse 34 - Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, "of" a ...truth... I perceive that ..... God is no respector of persons:
"of" - 2 Chronicles 19:7
"Wherefore" now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
"wherefore" - Now therefore
Colossians 3:25 - But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respector of persons.
Verses 35 - But "in" every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is "accepted" with him.
"in" - Acts 15:9 - And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith

And he said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with much hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.
And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.
And when the south wind bloew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by crete.
Verse 36 - The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, "preaching" peace by Jesus Christ: ("he" is Lord of all:)
"preaching" - Ephesians 2:14,16,17
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross (You can read the entire verse in your spare time)
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
"he" - Matthew 28:18 - And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Verse 37 - That "word," I say ye know, which was published throughout all Judea "and" "began" from Galilee after the baptism which John preached;
"word" - saying ye yourselves know, which
"and" - beginning from
"began" - Luke 4:14 - And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit unto Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
Verse 38 - "How" "God" anointed Jesus of nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
"How" - even Jesus of Nazareth, how that God anointed him
"God" - Hebrews 1:9 - Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
John 10:10,11,12,13,14,15 (You might want to read these scriptures in your spare time) ......... Jesus is the Good Shepherd.
John 10:16,17,17,30
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
I and my Father are one.
