Genesis 1:2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep...... And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Haggai 1:1-4, 7-10, 12-15
First - Foremost in position, foremost in rank, leading, usually highest, class, a place or a person in such a class, Commerce, Music, Sports: many articles of commerce, the voice or instrument, the winning place in a race or other contest.
Verse 1
IN "the" second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD "by" Haggai the prophet unto "Zerubbabel" the son of Shealtiel, "governor" of Judah, and to "Joshua" the son of "Josedech," the high priest, saying.
"the" - Ezra 4:24
Thenceased the work of the house of God, which is at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
"by" - by the hand of Haggai
"Zerubbabel" - Ezra 3:2
Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
"governor" - captain
"Joshua" - Ezra 3:2, 5:2
Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
"Josedech" - I Chronicles 6:15
Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
Verse 2
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, "The" time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.
"The" - It is not the time for us to come, the time for the LORD's house to be built.
Verse 3
Then came the word of the LORD "by" Haggai the prophet, saying,
"by" - pierced through
Verse 4
"Is" it "time" for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, "and" this house lie waste?
"Is" - II Samuel 7:2, Psalm 132:3
That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go into my bed;
"time" - a time for yourselves to
"and" - while this house lieth waste?
Verse 5
Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; "consider" your ways.
"Consider" - Set your heart on your ways
Consider - Haggai 1:7
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider your ways.
"Consider" - Lamentations 3:40
Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
Verse 7
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Verse 8
Go up to the mountain, ......... and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

Verse 10
Therefore "the" heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
"the" - for your sake the heaven is
"the" - Leviticus 26:19 (Leviticus 26)
And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass;
Verse 11
And I "called" for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the "new" wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and "upon" all the labour of the hands.
"called" - I Kings 17:1
In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began "Hoshea" the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel "nine" years.
"Hoshea" - 2 Kings 15:30
"nine" - and reigned
"new" - (new)
"upon" - Haggai 2:17
Verse 12
Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
Verse 13
Then spake Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, "I" am with you, saith the LORD.
"I" - Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Verse 14
And "the" LORD stirred up the spirit of Joshua the son of Shealtiel, "governor" of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, "and" they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God.
"governor" - Haggai 2:21
Speak to Zerubbabel "governor" of Judah, saying, I will share the heavens and the earth.

Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jersualem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands.
Verse 15
In the four and twentieth day of the "sixth" month, in the second year of Darius the king.
"sixth" - month, in the sixth month
