This is apropos of Dr.S.Iftikhar Ahmed’s Letter, “Harmful delays in Indo,Pakistan talks”(April 11) and a news item,”Amitabh vows to promote sub continent as filming location”(April 21).
Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan wants promotion of the Subcontinent as a shooting location for the Indian Film Industry so he called for cooperation between the Film industries of the Subcontinent of the region so that the region could be a powerful voice in World in Cinema.Dr.S.Iftikhar proposed encouraging exchanges of media, sports and Cultural groups, he is of opinion that people of both sides of the Indo,Pakistan border want stable relations.
Therefore, I appeal Indian Superstar Mr.Amitabh Bachchan to visit Pakistan, where so many locations, sounds and sights with natural beauty, poetic imaginaries based on spiritual thoughts of Sufi saints of Pakistan, fit for peaceful mind set generation film making are available.
Subcontinent was a peaceful place in past, but today countries of subcontinent like India and Pakistan are passing through disputed ages, but people on both sides of the Indo-Pakistan border want stable relations. So Amitabh Bachchan can play a great part toward cohesiveness of India and Pakistan by making such films based on couplets of Pakistani Sufi saints such as Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Rehman Baba and Baba Bulle Shah.
Amitabh Bachchan should not forget that he is great artist who, by his talent, hard work and dedication can show both India and Pakistan new possibilities, new ways of doing and seeing for the great betterment of people of the both countries.
