Would you work for zero dollar?

$-0 (dollar Zero) Professors

It might amuse you that I used to work for $1 per hour; and I was lazy, so I fixed my pay at $1 a day. Still I used to pay 10% of my income to church collections.

When I visited  an engineering  college in Tumkur (Karnataka), I was told that the college principal accepted only Rs.1 as honorarium; of course I did not believe it! The principal's argument was that his local expenses were paid for, and he was happy. It so happened that the entire college ran after his good-will.

Now imagine that Re-1 principal dealing with University Professors, Vice-Chancellors, Ministers, and Corporate executives. What else would his professional peers check other than a pay slip!

As it appears that there are dollar one CEO's in established companies too; their primary income sources from investment, not salary. Examples of $1 CEO's include Google, Kinder Morgan, Apple Computers, Capital One Financial, Pixar etc. (see the relevant article in MSN money section). When Prometheus Media becomes big and registered, I shall become $-0 CEO of the company.

How about professors? The regular salary for a real professor (second-degree) ranges from $100,000 to $300,000. Could you find $1 professors? or $0 professors? Catholic Charity and Church might have such people teaching  theology.

Though the salary stunts, high or low, might be for publicity meant for commercial and political gains, they might have other implications in the growth and investment plans for the company.
