What a game??????......

Ganguly in Kanpur:

"Oi aashe oi oti bhairava harashe
Jala-sinchita kshiti sourabha ravase,
Nava-youvana barasha.... (Beng.) ...... " ... After Tagore....

Cricket proved to be a strange game again. Those who did not like the pitch, or those who were waiting to come on the fifth day to watch a fighting game, could only curse themselves!

I liked Ganguly. Test century in Kolkata, career best in Bangalore, then 87 and 87 against South Africa. Ganguly really became the popular saviour.

What a city of Kanpur!
