In many ways the concept of Mercy is related to the concept of ‘Forgiveness’. It implies that a force/being/facility is or will be available if necessary, which will, when called into play, result in a diminished penalty or punishment for grievous acts committed in life.

But, nothing could be further from the truth. Let me explain.

I was awake, but not fully functioning, when I became ‘aware’ that I was watching a scene ‘somewhere’. I have had ‘scenes’ before. Normally, they are very distant recollections of times past see bio for information. This was different as it was not ‘events on earth’.

There was a single, closed gate with a large, wide but shallow step in front of and stretching to each side of the gateway. On this step was a man, standing with his back to the gate, as if watching and waiting. I was told he was called the ‘Watcher of the gate’. To his left was what I can only describe as a human sized icon. It looked as if it was made of painted and finely carved wood. It was shaped like a woman dressed in a plain gown which reached to the ground and with long sleeves. Her hands were clasped together. I could see a fastening on the right side of the icon i.e. to my left. There were eye-holes and I knew that the icon was hollow as I could see empty blackness inside.

As I watched, a man in great distress came stumbling up to the gate. He looked at the icon and cried, ‘Mercy, Mercy, I beg for Mercy’. Nothing happened and the Watcher said nothing. Then the man noticed the Watcher standing by the icon. ‘Where is Mercy? I am in agony, I beg for Mercy. Please ask Mercy to hear my plea’, he cried again, on and on.

Then, after a while and without any expression on his face or in his voice, the Watcher simply undid the clasp and opened the icon. There was no one and nothing inside. The man became silent as though in complete shock and disbelief.

 Then the watcher said, ‘Mercy is dead, you were one of the ones who killed her.’

The man then disappeared quickly, as if a force of energy had surrounded him and removed him from the scene.

I was back in my bed. I carried on with a normal day, but continued to wonder what I had seen and heard. Now I know.

The religious concept of Mercy as being available to all who repent of their heinous crimes and that Christ died on the cross for these people and that he would take away the sins of the world is wrong and misleading. Christ died because cruel men killed him. Not to take away anyone’s sins. That is a misconception thought up by religious men through the ages, probably to excuse  appalling, cruel behaviour. Last year, 2010, an exorcist in the Vatican said  that Satan has influenced the minds of those clergy who have been abusing young boys. In other words, offering another convenient excuse.

Everyone is responsible for their own actions, whether the effect is for good or evil. Hiding behind a ‘cop out’ will not have any effect when they reach the ‘final gate’.

People who hurt other people deliberately for the sake of personal satisfaction, gain or pleasure will find no mercy after death, but they will receive back exactly what they have given out. Religion will not save them on a death bed confessional; no priest can intercede for them.

People’s forgiveness on this plane for the perpetrator of crime against a loved one may help them to feel better, but will have no effect on where those who commit these crimes go after death. It is not within a human’s power to alter any other adult’s pathway. Each is only responsible for their own.

In the spirit world is only love and care, there is no cruelty and no hurt. So, why would anyone who has failed that test on earth get access? Life on earth is an opportunity to gain eternal life, which is not a guaranteed right as religions would make people believe.

However, those who kill for the protection of others are not hurting innocents deliberately, though some may suffer as a result, e.g. in wartime. The blame and retribution will then belong to those who originally caused the need to fight and kill e.g. for greed, mere power or to take resources from their rightful owners etc, rather than the valid protection of life. The true judge of all is on a higher plane, where the intentions behind all actions are known and falsehoods made clear. No one can lie or bluff their way into the spirit world.

Paedophiles are in my mind the worst offenders on the planet, inflicting unbelievable pain to children, some of whom become severely mentally affected in adult life as a result. They, in effect, rob the victim of the right to the life which their abilities could have allowed them to live, whether the abilities are great or small.

As a psychiatrist for 35 years, specialising in the treatment of unresolved traumas, I worked with many who had been sexually abused in childhood. Some of them had dissociated at the time. What do I mean by this term? Children have the capacity to separate out from their body when they cannot cope with excessive pain- this is called ‘dissociation’ or ‘disassociation’, and the younger the child, the more easily this can happen.

In childhood the protective mechanism happens at lower levels of pain/fear, and the younger the child the less pain or fear level that can be tolerated.  

Consequently, very tiny children can dissociate easily, to a greater or lesser extent when the pain or fear is too great. At the lowest levels, their emotions are simply ‘switched off’ and they separate just from the feelings of a situation.

My anger and total dismay at the effects on the lives of these individuals caused me to continue working with these patients for as long as was necessary. I met with much managerial opposition to the length of time the resolution took. But I persevered as I believed that they had a right to the best life possible. In the severest cases, i.e. the ones who had completely dissociated at the time of the trauma, this could be years of regular and consistent therapy.

Since my own near death when I visited the final ‘gate’ but was sent back and told ‘write your books and tell what you know’, I know that if a child needs to dissociate, then they do so in the company of a spirit who keeps the dissociated part of the mind safe in another plane of existence.  Any and every child’s fragment of time spent in any of the different levels of the dissociated planes of existence is recorded and the reason for its being there.

The spirit cannot usually alter what is happening on earth, as man has free choice to behave. However, all the actions are known by those ‘watching’ and as they are also recorded in the mind of the perpetrator, then true justice will be done, eventually.  If the child survives and is out of danger/pain/fear then the child’s mind is reunited once more with its body.

However, what the paedophiles do not know, but will one day learn, is that the pain/fear that results in dissociation due to their actions is waiting to be returned to the abuser. He/she has the pathway to the pain and fear they caused stored, with the actions, in the depths of his/her brain.

In other words, once an action has been inflicted deliberately, with cruelty for self satisfaction and pleasure, it can never be wiped out and the culprit will ‘reap what they sow’.

So, I would like these patients, often very difficult to manage but very courageous individuals, to know one day that in working with them to relieve their suffering, I was enabled to gain deep knowledge of the workings of the unconscious mind and the realms of the dissociated planes. By my own suffering of much severe pain and  near death due to physical illness,  all that I had learned through many years of this work was then connected to the higher truth.

Their suffering was not in vain and their abusers will have to receive back what they gave out- either during life or after death. It was the abusers choice to behave in a cruel manner. On the higher planes there is no punishment, merely true justice.

But, there is no Mercy to lessen the consequences, whatever religious leaders say. Everyone will ‘reap what they sow’, no punishment or ‘an eye for an eye’, no forgiveness because someone says ‘sorry’, which seems to be very common in the present climate. No merely, a ‘Return to Sender, address is known’.

I know of one man, who caused at least one child to dissociate with pain and probably many more, who, when he was ‘found out’, committed suicide. He no doubt thought he would avoid his punishment on this earth, instead he would merely start his own pain sooner rather than later. The other point I will mention is that outside this earthly life, time does not exist as we know it – so time doesn’t pass to end their ordeal, just as on earth an abused child can not turn back the clock.

My prediction is that, one day, everyone, weak or strong, child or adult will be able to walk free from harm, in darkness or in light. How can this come about?

It will not be a result of people being put on the sexual offenders register. It is important to identify those who had committed abuse and to let people know who they are, but it notifies only about those who have been caught. The clever ones remain unidentified. An atmosphere of mistrust and suspicion amongst the population is easily caused, whereas the vast majority or individuals would never harm even the hair of a child’s head.

Abuse has not started in the past few years, but has been prevalent throughout history, though unspoken and hence unrecognised.

A lot of changes will have to take place, but I know that the evil ones will be destroyed, eventually, by their own pain. The pain, which they have caused to individuals will be awakened and returned from the dissociated planes to their own memories and bodies. This particular kind of pain, memory pain, if accessed to the earthly body, will feel ‘real’ but will not respond to normal pain- killers. As this happens and the understanding is circulated around the world, the evil ones will become too frightened to hurt others. They are, basically, cowards.

Finally, after they die they will go to Hell and once there they will stay. The door to Hell is open and the exit from Hell closed.

Time for any person’s life on earth is but a fragment of eternity. The final destination is determined by our behaviour, not by what any church of whatever religion says or their priests preach.  None can absolve or remove someone else’s responsibility.
