Cricket is a big deal in every country except for America. Americans are starting to get into it a little more, because a lot of the satellite stations are starting to advertise how to view live cricket streaming. The game of cricket is very exciting! If you don't know what it entails, I will give you a quick lesson.

Two teams of eleven players play on a oval field. It is usually around three hundred and fifty yards. A cricket bat is bigger than a regular baseball bat, and has a skinny end. The ball is made of cork with leather stitched around it.

There are two umpires. In the middle of the field is a flat, hard strip of land called the pitch! It is around twenty two yards long and there will be two batsmen at the pitch simultaneously. One of which will face the ball coming from the bowler.

On each side of the pitch there is something called the crease. This is a line that is marked on both sides of the pitch. The first mark is where the bowler stands behind. The other mark is where the batsman stands to deliver the ball and to decide if a run is complete. If batsmen are away from his crease then the wicket keeper can stump him. He can also be run out by the fielders at either end. You score by hitting the ball and running.
