Humerous essay about the elements of elegance.

Female elegance is a combination of qualities I highly respect and love. But what are the components?

As always, a personal point of view serves as the anchor of mind. In today’s cinema, mal actors look sissy and women are the terminatrix. I’m not sure for which target audience these hormonally contorted movies are made, but certainly not for me.

I believe men should be men, and women should be women – bring out their best physical and spiritual qualities and make them shine. Elegance is natural but can be stimulated by education. In the US, a country of very friendly people with some bad habits, female elegance isn’t a highly appreciated or highly rated quality. How sad! Female elegance is the cherry on the cake of human existence.

First of all elegance embraces a lady who knows how to synchronize her spiritual qualities with physical body shape such that they resound together, and form a universe of beauty.  Elegance is a natural phenomenon. Yet it is also stimulated by good taste, fine education and experience. It is independent of age, and profession. She can be a singer, a movie star, a prostitute, a nun, a house wife – elegance has no boundaries. This said advancing age requires more discipline and increasing efforts seem necessary to make the phenomenon of elegance appear.

Let me summarize a few constructive and destructive qualities that contribute to the phenomenon of elegance.

Destructive qualities

It’s also called bad taste. It can be summarized as a collection of attributes which diminish beauty and esthetic appearance, such as:

  • Heavy smoking, bad smell and poor tooth quality.
  • Showing too much skin at the wrong place and at the wrong occasion. Excessive heels.
  • Foul language and vulgar expressions (Rap).
  • Rude behavior caused by, or combined with poor education (mothafucka).
  • Regular consumption of opiates and/or excessive alcohol (levels of intelligence and elegance drop).
  • Junk food addiction and obesity (you’ll be the whopper).
  • Ignorance of good style, clothing etc.
  • Lack of basic hygiene.
  • Poor quality makeup and perfume.
  • Tattoos.
  • Excessive silicon above valley and belly.

Heaving discussed the nemesis of elegance we can now focus on the ingredients of elegance.

Balance

Body coordination is everything. Village women carrying loads on their heads have the best walking style. Dancing, Yoga, Tai-Chi also teach good, sexy ways of walking. Look at Brazilian, Cuban ladies! Just look how she walks, how she dances in the street, transforming the world to a paradise of her elegance.

Hair

A lady’s hair creates a particular spiritual dimension in space, as it transcends the body periphery from the visible to the invisible realm.  Hair style adds tremendously to the character appearance of a person’s head. Other body hair manifestations are subject to controversial cultural tastes.

Intelligence and sparking eyes

There is no elegance without intelligence. It’s the sparkle in the eye that creates the magic of the moment. Even the   prettiest face is dull without sparkles of intelligence, and humor. It makes me wonder how much information is exchanged in the glimpse of an eye-to-eye contact. I guess it might be hundreds of terabytes, but mainly fed to the subconscious CPU cluster.

Speech

Eye contact and speech have power if properly synchronized. Pitch and cadence are important speech elements. The elegant lady knows when to speak, and when to pause.

Make-up

Make-up serves elegance, as plaster fills cracks in the dry wall. Nobody likes make-up, yet it can form a necessary element for the projection of elegance. Lid shading, in particular, can add a world of attractiveness.

Again, elegance is linked to quality of design rather than to quantity of chemical skin equalizers.

Perfume

The elegant lady knows how to choose her perfume. She doesn’t buy the cheapest one, nor does she use a lot. A lady of elegance knows how to blend the fragrance of the perfume with the odor of her skin, a special mix for a special occasion.

Clothing

Elegance cannot exist without garment. Nudity may be attractive, but it won’t be elegant. Women wrapped up in dark clothing like walking tents can’t ever be called chic (its purpose being to reverse horny masculine hydraulic swelling). This means that elegance is found somewhere between of 3% and 97% of garment covering the naked body surface. Personally I believe a sexy summer dress is at optimum elegance between 40 and 60% skin cover.

Silk, linen, cotton, and wool are the champions among all garments.

  • Silk: heavy and gentle touch, shining colors are pure elegance.
  • Linen: Crispy touch, pastel harmony between garment and skin.
  • Cotton: Light and fluffy, it protects the body like a second skin from excessive hot and cold.
  • Wool: Warm and absorbing it seems to balance emotions.

Leather is a somewhat controversial material. It brings the animal realm into human existence, and comes in company of a wild and strong taste. It might fit certain occasions well.

Shoes

No elegance is complete without a pretty pair of shoes. Leather being the material of choice, shoes can transmit countless messages. A long time ago, an Istanbul shoe-shine told me he could tell a person’s character merely from his or her shoe brand. Recent research seems to indicate, that there is a formula to calculate the ideal height-of-heel for a given lady. My simple advice, however, would be: heels should be high enough to produce an elegant style of walking-with-consciousness, whilst avoiding a giraffe-look or falling over one’s own feet.

Franz I agree with you 100%...I believe women should be women and men should be men....God meant it to be that way...I love class and elegance and it doesn't always take a lot of money to look that way...all it takes is class...these sweat pants and pajama looking things that women (and men) wear out shopping is disgusting...I love good looking suits on a woman and I also love silks...but it is not necessary to have money...cotton dresses also can be very becoming...I am so sick and tired of pants....when women started wearing pants everything changed...although there are very many smart pantsuits out there and I wear some...women have gotten carried away and totally sloppy...curlers in the hair while shopping etc....this is a good article...I suppose a lot of women will say ...well what about men...well...that's another article isn't it...men also can be sloppy....this was great ....thanks for it...floria

"I believe men should be men, and women should be women" - AMEN, Franz! One thing you forgot in your "Destructive Qualities" section is the habit of body piercings - ugh. By the way, another place to see elegant women is in Italy, especially Rome. Le belle donne! Well said, Franz.
