This was a mystical experience I had in the woods at Revelstoke,BC a couple of years sgo.
I became frustrated with the hustle and bustle of city life, so I decided to get away from it all and go into the country for a bit of relaxation and recuperation.
So boarding a Greyhound bus I headed for Revelstoke, a little country town nestled in the province of British Columbia
Arriving there, I was awestruck by the beauty of the majestic snow peaked mountains that were surrounded by lush forest and stoic evergreens The next day I took a walk through
the woods.
In this pristine forest of pine trees and fallen leaves I relaxed by a stream and listened to the gurgling of a brook nearby, the whistling of the birds in the canopy of the trees,The soft rustling of the leaves pushed by a cool summer breeze was music to my ears. As I watched some fallen leaves floating serenely down the stream I felt a Oneness with my surroundings that I had never experience before. I felt blissful and all my problems and cares seem to vanish from my mind.
When I left the forest I felt a new Person as if I were recreated by some unknown force
Then I realize that perhaps this was the enlightenment the mystics spoke so often about through the centuries. It was awesome to me.
