This was written in response to Richard Lee Orey's article; "I was made for you"
***Alot of what Richard Lee Orey says makes alot of sense.
BUT, love is not a decision one makes, it is a condition that
affects the heart. The reason it can be so painful is we can't
choose who makes our heart react in such a capacity.
****Love is sometimes one sided; not reciprocated by
the one you love, but you cannot turn love off just because
it's painful. The affect can linger for years. You can't choose
to fall deeply in love with a kind soul, just because you
know they are in love with you. The heart knows what it wants.
Oh, how I wish that were possible! Indeed, to be blessed to
find the heart that beats with yours is rare and special ,
especially these days. I do believe everyone has a soulmate,
one person born to love only you and you only that one.
I like the title of your article; "I was made for you".
******************No true r statement!
I do believe that Our Creator intends that we love and marry
once for a lifetime, and that ***He did make this possible
by creatingf or every human, a soulmate. *******
But with abortion being legal for woman other than
life risking conditions or rape, what's the chance
of that happening for everyone now?
*****Maybe that's a topic for discussion at another time.
I loved once but he did not love me as deeply as I loved him.
He was able to walk away and I still have not, 30 years later,
met any other who made me that happy, was able to know
me as he, whom I had every thought, dream, fantasy and
goal in common with. He broke my heart, but what we had
when we had it, is so special that I will never forget it. I have
had affection for others in the years since, but nothing as
deep as what I had with that one. But to say I was in love with
them, would be a pretense on my part, and that's not fair to
the other person. If only we could control this heart condition,
the world would be alot happier place to be, and divorce
would be just a word, not such a dominating condition of
our society today.
****Thank you, Richard, for writing your deeply felt article.

For me it is not that I have loved, but that I loved and gave too much.
