Started in the 50’s, as a small chain of convenience stores, called Pronto Markets, the name change came in 1967 by the stores founder, the stores were expanded and a new component was add, innovative, hard-to-find, great-tasting foods, a trademark, that Trader Joe’s, prides themselves on.
Just as Trader Joe’s has a gluten free shopping list, to be used as an educational tool, a guide to being gluten free. Whole Foods Market’s, also has a gluten free list but remember the list of ingredients may change, so always read the label and/or check with the manufacturer.
