The preceding quote could be our model for having a most excellent and profitable attitude in our daily lives. I have strived to follow this path and have discovered that although my outer nature seems to be wasting away, my inner nature seems to be growing (2 Corinthians 4: 16). Gravitating toward a non-carnal way of thinking surely produces an ineffable transformation that grows stronger and stronger as we nurture it and draw closer to God, or rather that God draws closer to us.

There are three types of persons, I believe, who are reading this article. You are either an avid reader, and you are curious about the title. Maybe you're on thin ice in your life, and you're looking for answers to your confusion and despair. Lastly, you may be an atheist, and you're curious about where all the mysticism comes from. The true essence of it all comes from truth. There's no dichotomy here. Pontius Pilate asked Jesus Christ what truth was. Jesus told him that "He" was the truth. Seek and follow the truth, and you will be set free from peril and you'll have the best attitude around. Since God did not create religion, you do not have to worry about being poisoned.

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick," says Proverbs 13: 12. What kind of attitude do you presently have? Is it a narcissistic one? Is it a repugnant one? I believe it is safe to say that we all share something in common. We all want to be treated equally and fairly, first by our government, and then, of course, by other people. Do we not all believe in the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7: 12)? Now since religion poisons everything, "Let us leave behind the elementary spirits of the universe" (Colossians 2: 20) and get help from God himself, with all humility. It is he who crushes our foes before us, that is, if we truly put our full trust in him. Let us never be double-minded, for there are no grey areas when it comes to the absolute truth and our true happiness.
