2. A SECOND LOOK at the SECOND COMING (sorting through the speculations)
by T.L. Frazier (1999)
A few highlights:
We fear the Apocalypse because it challenges our complacency.
The Apocalypse was given by the Lord as a part of His pastoral care for His church ( Matthew 16: 18-19). Now please note here that in Matthew 16: 18, the Lord is referring to that rock as "Faith."
That message from John to the seven churches in Asia relates also to seven being the number symbolic of perfection.
