Castles, dragons, the stories of kings and queens, but mostly about knights who rode on horses to save a damsel in distress and sometimes a castle in need of a hero. The weapons they carried and the armor they wore always made me wish I was born in the Arthurian times. Riding on a powerful stallion slicing the heads off of foul creatures while on my way to rescue a damsel in distress. But what led me to commence the writing of the Ancient Warriors Series was when I was in middle school. I've always wanted to know where my last name, Advincola, came from.
I went up to my father one night and asked him where our ancestors came from. He told me that he asked his father the same question when he was young and was told that their ancestors didn't come from the Dominican Republic, where my father was born and raised. My grand-father said that our ancestors came from an uncharted island. So that got me thinking of writing a series of books revolving around my family and I trying to find out where our ancestors came from while fighting against the forces of darkness.
