FOUNDATION’S WORKING PAPER. Volume – “1” 2013.
Introduction:
INSIGHT.
1. The foundation is to launch practical actions for "sustainable development programs; towards poor and middle-class communities and society", this is after forming location-points with preparation of local and equipped core representatives and train cadres at rural, semi rural/urban and urban zone; the foundation is to survey the grounds gradually across South Sudan. The main purpose and target of the Programs are based on "General Reconstructions and construction of people’s living aspects"; after war has damaged the foundations of life's generation. Therefore, the gearing projection of the foundation is to establish schooling, training, farming, improving health, introducing clean water and sanitation schemes, as well as placing local and small factories and manufacturing industries accordingly; based on gradual impact by consolidating vertical and horizontal (human and natural resources) productivity.
2. The foundation is willingly in counting the affection of illiteracy, hunger, disease, as well the limitation and negative cultural dimensions in both rural and urban locations of South Sudan and other nations, being regional and global. The foundation has put basis and majors for marking out the volume of these problems in some localities like in one of located grassroots base in Logwek area formally known by Rejaf; a districts with some villages such as: http://logocommunity.webstarts.com/ and some more others with the same exemplary nature within Central Equatoria State and others states of the Republic of South Sudan “the newest country on earth” wherein almost 90% or about 7 million people are still backward without general setup of infrastructures in both towns and villages.
3. The foundation got two dimensional projections:
First dimension is based vertical aspect: to produce reasonable and measurablehuman resources; who are trained as core representatives, plus a foundation’s good number of skilled cadres who are able to cause a productive impact in their respective communities and or societies. Along these points which are basses for the foundation grassroots, some community colleges are to be established gradually and introduced in both rural and urban are alike to cater for the teaching and training of children, young man or youth, women and elderly ones; to always or from time to time produce such effective human resources. Hence our product at the foundation is Community College/s which shall generate Human Resources in term of workforce; sooner or later.
4. In case any community college or more are formed, “a foundation’s officesshall also be included and such offices shall always operate on the foundation’s major activity which is “DEVELOPMENT”.
Second dimension is based on horizontal impact, as our program in the foundation is addressing researches for practical development. However the fruits of our development are going to come out as a result from changes brought by the effort and roles of the proposed Community College/s which is established by objectives toward the communities’ members; first to cause transformation, discover possibilities and make a breakthrough as well as to produce “work-force” in various fields and levels. At this juncture, the foundation’s development projection will attain high delivery in the following:
5. A: Educational Services. B: Health care and HIV AIDS. C: Advocacy and Human Rights. *Economic Growth: Agricultural, Technologies Industrial and other Services delivery.
6. In South Sudan, mostly the activities that generate living standard which based on progress from the developmental reflections, these activities are limited and secondly are not scientifically delivered; to cause increase in the local and or national economy productivity.
7. Our foundation is introducing a new dimension approach which is base on development on both vertical and horizontal.
8. Vertical due to the reason that the foundation is going to dig a better foundation for to "learn how to learn on: doing better development". And the horizontal impact is addressing development at the dimension of human resources; qualified workforce to attain better outputs. However the fruits of our development are going to come out as a result from changes brought by the effort and roles of the proposed Community Colleges which are to be established by objectives toward the communities members’ advantages; first to cause transformation, discover possibilities and make a breakthrough in various fields, such as in Education, Health, Advocacy, Economic Growth; agricultural and industrial, technologies and other Services.
9. At the moment the foundation is targeting 25 to 30 sub-villages at Logwek, formerly known as Rejaf, this digs ways for strengthening the capacity of villages across South Sudan and other nations’ villages and including semi rural districts, urban towns and cities.
10. Foundation for Research and Developmental Services" is projecting to start its operation, as by 2012/2013 or when funded then in any year.
1-The foundation is to help in training of first 25 to 30 Core Representatives at the start. In the same
2- The foundation shall give as stance in term of training 75 to 90 and or more personnel from among the 30 villages' members, that to say each village with three officers, who will afterward handle the individual village activities at their respective local area.
3- The foundation in an open training workshop will launch enlightenment on Technical as well deliver some massive lesson to workforce, on how to be productive or how to use some machines in future, this is not the end of the workforce, but this is step by step as one of the gearing start for overall mission’s activities.
11. Training a formal schedule shall be designed to match the objectives and goal of the foundation. The workforce will carry out some practical duties.
12. Then the second phase will follow by launching activities accordingly.
13. *The foundation is now projecting to build basis for sustainable development activities, therefore these activities, such as farming for producing agricultural crops and animals’ productions, as well as some small primary factories are due to be introduced with accordance to sectors and or office of planning within the foundation.
14. The whole arrangements for up to date working inputs shall grow up within a period of two to three years and remains as projects of the foundation at both; short term and long term arrangement, and can be then as source of generating internal funding. While any external funds are welcomed in advance before launching some projects and or during or after start.
· As one of the long term prioritized, the foundation is planning for a Community Development Bank.
15. *Personally, I grow up without father, lost my mom at 17 and I have understood the whole dimensions of the living. My sincere thanks to my father’s brother Engineer Augustino Ladu Youngo, who cared for my basic education and the Church, local and International Mission plus other Institutions for the support they sponsored me during my University studies and after. My country went through two bitter wars and I have witnessed some of the unreasonable negative acts, which the history of my country has reflected as matter of fact. Yet I managed to complete my education up to University level.
16. At this juncture I have the capability to say: “this foundation shall overcome any risk, mostly at its operational impact.
17. I did professional training in one of the stronger organizations in Sudan Council of Churches and I have gained better skills in Personnel Management, translation, Administration, Advocacy and Human Right, Conferences, workshops and Meetings as well Discussion with International NGOs.
18. As at the same dimension I was a volunteer teacher for eleven years and a Headmaster at secondary school for 2011/12.
19. In 2010, I got an Award of IVLP USA and I visited Washington, Orlando, Indianapolis, Grand Island and Los Angeles.
20. I have observed some developmental impact which always builds in me a high confident in challenging risk. In brief “the foundation got the zeal for that.”
21. February, 2010, I thought about goal innovation, I set 100% of the idea and objectives for the foundation, I decided that making some findings when it is first searched and a solution can be launched in term of applied action per developing any of the foundation’s projections which basically focusing on education, health care, communication, economic growth in the fields of: agriculture, factories plus small industries and technologies. I named the whole idea: Foundation for Research and Developmental Services (FRDS), it based on what said: "Think Global and Act Locally". The foundations have developed a site and have shared the idea with friends, locally national as well regional and global.
22. It is in our living that is always common to live with challenges and adversity, both are daily matter, but it is easy to overcome the two.
23. I was one of the founders of Volunteers for Peace Building Program (VPBP), I and some friends managed to form an assembly of 240 volunteers’ members, I played greater roles in writing of the Program's constitution, arranged meetings, meeting National Government Official, Regional and International Missions.
24. For eleven years, I was serving in the field of teaching the poor students and middle class students, therefore I have a wider understanding at while crisis take place, when there is no money or other problems, yet there is a way to resolve; when managerial rules are applies in term of "Planning, Organizing, Directing, Supervising and Controlling. On the other hand, is always better to search out the problem before they rose up and turn to be difficult as well making analysis per activities can support in overcoming most of the problems. Managerial impact also can help in solving some challenges and adversity.
25. *The nature of the working system has taken the managerial impact whereat, true skills for work done shall always remind and remain as skills and or experiences for delivering real and better activities within the PROGRAM planning, organizing, and directing as well supervising and controlling. At the same time, the foundation will arrange some or all the community or society members in rural and urban zones in operations, specially the core representatives plus cadres’ personnel and the workforce; they shall have a better efficiency and high spirit of responsibility and duties along or during their works. As they are to be equipped along their “training sessions accordingly.”
26. Applying accountability policy with partners to determine resourcefulness being financial, human, material assets or liabilities’ aspect if found, donation, contribution, or funds, as well the general expenditure is to be recorded perfectly and controlled; to put the whole activities at transference glance for collaborative and right productivity data.
27. In July, 2011, I met with some volunteers in Juba "the capital city of Central Equatoria State in South Sudan" and we discussed the idea, those volunteers decided to take part in forming a grassroots communities bases.
28. I came into first contact with some of those volunteers at where then I was a teacher and as well in Juba, during 2000 to 2011.
29. Our major sharing was based on academics dimension; the volunteers were interactive in some communities and developmental dimensions
30. The glue of the foundation is visualized to those volunteers and we have put the following responsibilities:
31. Some of the foundation’s local personnel are to build up the financial system. The same personnel will identify the financial basis and designs financial structure, determine the size and the budgets’ impact of annual and departments on anther hand shall introduce a primary financial policy and operating budget.
32. John Jada will be planning on the general PROGRAM INPUTS; including adjustments, projecting, decision-making and doing other strategic inputs for the foundation.
33. A task force shall conduct regular meetings, train others and share impacts on foundation's operation.
34. Effective personnel who freely joining or turn up as members of this foundation shall be willingly doing numerous actions by taking their respective tasks, responsibilities, roles and duties. On another hand, the foundation’s partners, donors, goodwill agencies, sponsors and collaborators shall always be in full line connected into the foundation’s activities.
35. The foundation is in process for total operations with the Governments of: Central Equatoria other respective States in the Republic of South Sudan and as well gradually will reach regional and global operations.
