Jointly written with J. Allan Hobson. One of the authors (Just) reviews the ability to enact, control, and remain lucid in self-induced hallucinations.
Just and Hobson discuss the mechanisms that support lucid hallucinations. Lucidity with both controlled and spontaneous, pre-and-post-sleep, hallucinations is covered as well as dream lucidity comparisons. The chapter's goal is to further the development of an integrated model that explains the processes of dreaming and hallucinating in subjective and objective terms.
