ISAIAH 6:7

WITH IT HE TOUCHED MY MOUTH AND SAID, “SEE, THIS HAS TOUCHED YOUR LIPS; YOUR GUILT IS TAKEN AWAY AND YOUR SIN ATONED FOR. (NIV)”

Contriteness, penitence, regret,  remorsefulness, repentance, rue, self-reproach, shame have kept you burdened down. You were down in the alleys of sin and chained to your flesh.  Nights you gave your bodies to men and women chasing after a love that could never be obtained until you die to your flesh. The wickedness overtook your mind and you indulged in sexual immorality, impurity, lust, hatred, discord, jealousy, anger, selfish ambition, dissension, arrogance, murder, idolatry, witchcraft, drunkenness, cheating, adultery, homosexuality, greed, raping, lying, and stealing. Now there is a change but out of the darkness of your past arises guilt.    It was a way of life that you once lived before you met your Savior.  Yet, in the shadows of your mind your past holds a tight grip on you.  How could Christ want to use you a murderer, rapist, a prostitute, an adulteress, a fornicator, a homosexual, a liar, a thief, a manipulator, or a cheater?  When He died on the cross He died for your freedom.  You were chosen to be free from guilt. 

Family and friends never seem to erase the memory of who you once were and now you are imprisoned by their opinions.  God has opened the door of freedom for you to walk through but the glare from your past haunts your future.  You can approach God boldly and become free from your guilty conscience.  The Bible states in Hebrews 10:22: “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience.” Though you want to draw near to your Savior the memory of your past is resurrected and you feel trapped by the old you.  God is saying out of the ashes of your past He shall bury your guilt and you shall arise as a new creature in Christ. 

Today, Repent, Release, and Rejoice because you are letting go all your guilt to be Renewed and Redeem!
