Harvey Gittler recently wrote on "fighting domestic terrorists"(Oct 9), but he didn't mean those who terrorize domestic households through spousal and child abuse. Gittler went on to praise Britain's police efforts while leading readers to believe that the British military does no "Shock and Awe".

The British have always done Shock and Awe alongside their American puppets in Afghanistan and Iraq. Tony Blair supplied the lies that Bush relied on on to invade Iraq. Prior to the current invasion of Iraq, a British or U.S. bomb fell on the internal enemies of Saddam Hussein for 120 consecutive months. They keep Saddam on the sidelines in case their sham democracy fails to take root.

British police efforts are not what Gittler claims. The first time I traveled to England in 1993, an IRA bomb exploded at Heathrow hours before my plane landed. During the five years that I lived there, an IRA bomb exploded every year.

I learned that British Empire spawns resistance from the oppressed. I learned that British police cannot stop IRA bombings. I learned that since WWII, British Empire is American-powered. It doesn't take a George Washington to see that bullying the world on behalf of London is wrong.
