America, and Britain, are in grave danger of becoming permanent police states.

The civilian populations of Afghanistan and Iraq are being obliterated by fascist-led U.S. and British military forces and their hired mercernaries. The Afghan and Iraqi Freedom Fighters are faring badly in their resistance to the U.S.-installed Vichy governments in their countries - the Hamid Karzai dictatorship in Afghanistan and the Maliki sham democracy in Iraq. As many as 3,000 Iraqis flee the land of their fathers each day, seeking refuge in neighboring Syria, Jordan, or Iran. In a mere 22 years, Iraq will be completely depopulated if that rate continues. Meanwhile, Afghans are fleeing their land for refuge in Iran or Pakistan - something that even the Soviets could not pull off twenty-five years ago because the U.S. military or CIA were helping the Afghan Freedom Fighters against the Commie invaders.

Today, the Afghan Freedom Fighters have been abandoned by their U.S. allies. The threat that Afghans and Iraqis face from the U.S. government and their British partners advising the U.S. fascists on empire is astronomical. The U.S. has over 10 bases in Turkey, secret bases in Egypt, bases in Arabia, bases in Iraq, bases in Afghanistan, battle ships and aircraft carriers all over the Persian Gulf, and friendly CIA-installed or maintained dictators in Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and every other country in the region. The Vichy government in Iraq is growing, while the U.S. military scrambles to train the 300,000 member Vichy military to carry-on its dirty work.

American have a choice - we can continue to allow the global oil crooks in Washington, District of Criminals, to run around the global neighborhood like a rabid pit bull terrorizing our neighbors, or we can put our pit bull on a leash. British voters can do the same with Blair. Failing to put our respective governments on a leash is no different from your next-door neighbor failing to put his pit bull on a leash and then the nasty chomper takes a bite out of your kid. You wouldn't like that and the Afghan and Iraqi victims don't like it either.

When I taught Modern European History at Bournville College in England, my students and I saw how Hitler began to terrorize Europe by first taking a bite out of Czechoslovakia, then Poland. The German people failed to put their government on a leash and eventually the whole world suffered, but not before the Germans themselves took a bad slide down the slippery slope of Nazi fascism. Germans who failed to worship the Nazi state, such as Jehovah's Witnesses and Jews, were disciplined under Nazi eugenic policies by compulsory sterilization, internment in concentration camps, or killed.

There is no question that our freedoms are in peril today as 'Adolf' Bush tramples on the U.S. constitution, the Bill of Rights, and international law while invading defenseless countries halfway around the globe. Secret prisons and the new U.S. law giving the President unheard-of Hitlerite powers are clear indicators that America is in danger of falling into irretrievable fascism as Germany did nearly seventy years ago. The threat we face from the forces of fascism in Washington is huge. Republican Congressman Ron Paul of Texas says we are already mired in a "soft fascism" maintained by neocons and neolibs in both of the major parties, which he and a minority of other Congresspersons are resisting with their limited minority powers of Congressional office.

Because the military draft was shelved with the Vietnam War (another statist crime), it seems most Americans are unconcerned about the U.S. troops dying or the many thousands more now living without arms and legs. After all, 'they volunteered' seems to be the general sentiment. The back-door draft, statist lies, and other underhanded games that keep them in harm's way while most of our troops want to get the hell out of the invasion business seems to go unnoticed by the general U.S. population.

Our troops' only hope and their victims' only hope lies in the ability of the American citizen to get off his backside and put a leash on the global pit bull that is terrorizing our global neighbors. Those who support the fascist policies of our current president are not upholding the U.S. Constitution or the well-being of the American people and our global neighbors. Our hope to keep our own liberties safe from U.S. government fascism and the hope of our government's victims that U.S. bombs will stop raining on their heads lies in our opposition to the fascists who have penetrated Capitol Hill.

Our nation is in grave danger of becoming a permanent police state and, worse, losing its sovereignty by becoming nothing more than a province in the emerging One World Corporatist Superstate. U.S. state terrorism will not go away on its own - the global oilmen are making huge profits from it. Like the average man who answered Paul Revere's cry that the British are coming, you must rise from the comfort of your TV chair and answer the cry that the fascists are here. Conservatives who love American liberty and free enterprise need to get vocal and oppose the neocons and neolibs while there is still time, which is fast running out. Bush and Richard Cheney for unlawfully invading Afghanistan and Iraq, ordering other war crimes, trampling the Bill of Rights, and establishing a police state with secret prisons.
