Article about Jeffrey Arsenault and his advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur.

People working in the business and finance sector can be categorized into two types.

There are those who handle their positions well but would rather work under the supervision of someone within the corporate setting. These types of people are comfortable with the career ladder paradigm and are willing to wait for their promotion within the company or organization. And then there are those who would rather strike out on their own and become their own bosses. These people usually have their own vision in mind, their own idea of how to go about accomplishing things and measuring success.

The people who belong to the latter category usually become more successful than those who belong to the former simply because they are visionaries, iconoclasts who bring with them the winds of change and a certain level of verve. They are, most of them, modern day entrepreneurs who are no strangers to reinvention and innovation – they have a goal in mind and they aren’t afraid to work hard in order to attain it, relying on their own strengths to achieve their purpose.

To be a successful entrepreneur requires more than a vision – one must also be able to implement their ideas and realize them in the real world. A successful entrepreneur continuously sets goals even though they’ve already achieved success. They strive to continuously better themselves and exceed the limits of their previous accomplishments.

Jeffrey Arsenault of Old Greenwich, CT is a visionary.  An investment expert and hedge fund of funds manager with a proven track record in fund manager selection and asset allocation, Mr. Arsenault founded Old Greenwich Capital Partners (OGCP), a New York based investment management firm, back in 2005. Since then, the firm has grown into a globally sophisticated, customizable multi-manager platform to the Hedge Fund world.

Serving as the OGCP’s founder and principal partner, Jeffrey Arsenault leverages an extensive network of industry contacts developed over his 25 years in the business. This gives him special access into investment networks. A niche player and industry leader with strong business acumen, Mr. Arsenault has earned a reputation as an outstanding fund of funds manager with a track record of superior risk-adjusted absolute returns.

Jeffrey graduated from Boston University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. To date, he still remains highly involved in the university’s Athletic Directors Council. He serves as a board member of Boston University’s Metropolitan Dean Advisory, and Sound Point Capital. His most fulfilling role however is father to a family of 5 children and husband to his lovely wife.

Fulfilling the roles of both entrepreneur and philanthropist, Jeffrey Arsenault is keenly aware of the need for companies to reach out to communities as part of their corporate social responsibility. An arts patron and education advocate, Jeffrey serves as a board member of the Stepping Stones Museum for Children and is a staunch supporter of its Early Language and Literacy Initiation (ELLI). He supports several charitable foundations both in Greenwich and New York, among them the Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families (EGSCF), one of the top foster care agencies in the New York City; and the annual east coast Hedge Funds Care, Open Your Heart to the Children Benefit.
