Did you know that :

The UK’s full and proper name is actually the ‘United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland’, which is a bit of a mouthful! It is made up of four separate countries – England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Excluding Northern Ireland, the area is also called Great Britain. Together these four countries make up one united country who share a currency, government and lots of other things.

In terms of geographical size, the United Kingdom is actually pretty small. In fact, you could fit the entire UK inside of Texas in the USA two and a half times and still have some room to spare. Australia is approximately 32x the size of the UK, although it has less than half of the amount of people living there than the UK does.
