'La Vie en Rose', a film about the life

of Edith Piaf took my breath away. 

Every second of the movie was filled

with heart wrenching moments as was

Edith's life, which is the very soul of

great art.


Born into poverty and raised in a

brothel as a child, Édith Piaf was never

loved or wanted by anyone.


Eventually Édiths father returned to the

brothel and took Edith to join him where

he worked as a circus acrobat.


No matter who Edith tried to love, it

ended in tradegy. She fell deeply in

love with a man who died in a plane

crash on his way to be with her.


But when Edith sang, the world listened

and showered her with the love she had

never had her entire life which would

follow her to her death.


Her voice filled the audience with every

emotion they had experienced throughout

their lives.


When Edith sang 'No More Regrets' as she

neared the end of her life, there was

not a dry eye in the theater as the

audience wept outloud.


Edith Piafs heartbreak from not being

wanted as a child would one day

immortalize her through her music.


After her death as her body was being

carried down the street in a horse drawn

carriage to the cemetary; all of Paris

followed Edith on foot, dropping red

roses along the way.


Her fame has only begun and

like painter Frida Kahlo, 

Edith Piaf had lived a life of suffering

few could endure and now her crown of

tears has been transformed into a crown

of glory.


Ediths singing makes people desire,

laugh, cry an identify with our

passionate longing to love and be loved

which is why we are alive.


No More Regrets Edith Piaf.

You paid your dues to share with the

world our hearts longings through your

music.


May you rest in peace knowing your muic

has wings that carries the whole world

into heavens doors.


Its your chosen destiny Ms. Piaf and all

of your lifes trials are now in the most

beautiful music as the worlds pays

homage to you through eternity.


And may I this one lone artist, wipe the

last teardrop from your eye and thank-

you for reminding me great art is

created through souls such as you who

allowed all of life.


Your deepest sorrows turned into song

are your great gift to the world.
