Creative Ideas on Getting Visitors to Your Web Site

The web is full of information on “How to Attract Visitors to Your Web Site” so why not capitalize on this desire to increase visitors. A search of the web discloses many offers to get millions of visitors to your web site. One quickly learns after purchasing a few that having an internet presence does not guarantee sales.

You have clicked on to this site because you felt you were victimized and/or you are searching, trying to find the secret to attracting visitors. Well, here are a few questions that you might want to answer before you buy visitors again: What type of visitors are you interested in? Does your web site have a general offer? Is it filled with information that might interest everyone, or a specific visitor? The key is in targeting your visitors. Meet the visitor where they are: most are looking for information, like the headline which brought you here.

You are probably an author, self-publisher, or someone looking to attract visitors to your web site. The headline got you this far. So the first steps are: headline, information, a strategy to help you to complete the task, and getting that visitor to take the next step.

Here are some creative ideas: use one related interest to lead to another, and another, until your goal is met. For example, offer something of related interest as a teaser. Based upon this headline and the targeted visitor, there might be an interest in selling more books. Your next step is to decide on and write about the related topic (see the sample at the link below).

Create a teaser headline within the content, like this one: “How to Write a Book and Sell a Million Copies,” and link this page to that teaser headline content. Congratulations! Let’s review the process. Notice this headline “Getting visitors to your book publishing web site.” The type of visitor targeted: those with book publishing and promotional interests. The initial headline and information moves the visitor from the page they come in on (which would be this page), to the link below, where you will see the teaser headline on the right side of the page.

That link leads to the information promised “How to Write a Book and Sell a Million Copies.” Before you leave that page, you might want to scroll down to see how it is set up. Additionally, when you get there, at the end of the “How to Write a Book and Sell a Million Copies” you will see a link back to the web site you clicked away from.
